What is a secret worth sharing? 

Christianity is the belief system that prompts its followers of the ways of Jesus Christ (Christians) to LOVE MORE AND SIN LESS in response to the reality that none of us are perfect. Christianity delivers positive behavioural change that improves the public wellbeing of us all (and it is not wise for societies seeking to improve public wellbeing to ignore such good news).

SHARING A SECRET (asecret.org) is a Christian outreach ministry sharing how followers of the ways of Jesus are prompted to love more and sin less. The ministry believes that it is important to recognise that no one is ever able to totally escape being a sinner, but by following the ways of Jesus we are all able to love more and sin less. The ministry believes that Christianity prompts its followers to LOVE MORE AND SIN LESS as they follow the ways of Jesus (when taking their faith seriously).

The ministry realises that encouraging love is the priority purpose Christianity but this doesn't mean that it is wise to ignore the importance of discouraging sin (sin can be likened to the absence of love):

• More love = external action to address

• Less sin (absence of love) = internal action to address

The ministry fully understands that Jesus died to forgive his repentant followers of their past sins, but is also very conscious that availability of forgiveness is not a green light for future sins. The ministry has been established to pull mainstream society back to the importance of discouraging sin as well as encouraging love. The ministry considers everyone to be a sinner (as we are all addicted to various forms of sin), so rejects any accusations that the ministry is being judgemental. The ministry sees Christianity as a very effective way to help everyone to love more and sin less (by confronting their addictions to sin). The ministry encourages people to regularly attend church to be regularly encouraged by Jesus to love more and sin less.

The ministry shares some Great Instructions and some HAVE FUN ways for Christians to share their faith (t-shirts/ posters/ community group/ social media).

It is worth remembering that there is no better way than Christianity to prompt people to LOVE MORE AND SIN LESS (i.e. positive behavioral change).

It is also worth remembering that not even followers of the ways of Jesus (Christians) manage to totally escape the sin bin (Christians are not perfect but most strive to LOVE MORE AND SIN LESS).

It is worth remembering that ignoring Christianity is not the best way for anyone to LOVE MORE AND SIN LESS.

It is worth remembering that Christianity improves public wellbeing and therefore has a positive impact on society.
